We are always on the lookout for the right people to join our teaching staff! Being that we are a Montessori school, we believe teaching is more than just being an educator, but it is what we are called to do.

Someone who is eager to work with young children in a team-centered environment would be a great fit at our school. We are seeking candidates that are hard-working, assertive, and challenge themselves in order to grow. Having a positive attitude, collaborating with others, and strong written and verbal skills are a must.

To be considered for any teaching position, Montessori certification is required. The following are preferred:

· Undergraduate degree

· State teaching license

For employment, the following characteristics will be required:

· Toddler (ages 13 to 29 months)

Candidates will be able to bend and lift, getting on the child’s level to communicate and assist, have patience and an understanding of young children’s needs, being able to change diapers and being nurturing when children aren’t feeling well or need extra attention, be willing to take direction from others.

· Primary (ages 3 to 6 years, multi-age)

Candidates must be able to get on the child’s level when redirecting or communicating to children, be able to foster a love of learning, nurture with respect and consistency, allow children to work independently without unnecessary intervention, and guide children based on the needs of the child.

We are also looking for additional float and aftercare staff, as well as substitute positions. Applicants for these positions will need:

· 3 references

· Willingness to learn about the Montessori philosophy

· Time to observe in a Montessori classroom
